Zhongshan is a walkable city. As you watch the locals walking in steady steps, you will also slow down and walk to the attractions without a rush. If you are looking for a place for families to enjoy themselves, that will be the Sun Wen Memorial Park. Sun Wen Memorial Park is located in the south of the city centre. Before stepping into the park, you will be stopped by the calligraphy of the plague with “Sun Wen Memorial Park” in Chinese characters at the main entrance.

Troy, an ancient city located in today’s northwestern Turkey, was seized by Spartan and Achaean warriors from Greece in the 13th or 12th century B.C. Given such a huge number of famous mountains in China, it is hard for a mountain to stand out by merely having remarkable scenery. Mount Xiqiao, which is located in the Southwest of the Nanhai District of Foshan, is one of the exceptions. Being an extinct volcano and embellished by the cultural heritage sites nearby, Mount Xiqiao has become one of the four most famous mountains in Guangdong Province, attracting loads of tourists.

The Mount Luofu located in the South of Huizhou and the Nankun Mountain located in the North are two famous mountains of the city. Regarded as the "oasis on the Tropic of Cancer", Nankun Mountain is known for its mythical peaks and waterfalls. The Tiantang Top ("Tiantang" as paradise in Chinese), the major peak of the mountain, is taller than Hong Kong’s Tai Mo Shan. It stands over 1000m above sea level. Although it is tiring to climb Nankun Mountain, all efforts are just worth it when you see the wonderland-like scenery.

The museum is divided into two major exhibition areas and three forts. Lin Zexu Memorial of Humen and the former site of Humen Fort are one large part; Weiyuan Fort and Humen Naval Museum are another.

Famous place in Kaiping is Chikan Ancient Town which is as well-known as Kaiping Diaolou. Located by the sea, Chikan is renowned for its arcade buildings in colonial Nanyang style and Western architecture. Those on the Dixi Road are the best known.
