"Slow Tour" Zhongshan - Sun Wen Memorial Park

Zhongshan is a walkable city. As you watch the locals walking in steady steps, you will also slow down and walk to the attractions without a rush. If you are looking for a place for families to enjoy themselves, that will be the Sun Wen Memorial Park.

Sun Wen Memorial Park is located in the south of the city centre. Before stepping into the park, you will be stopped by the calligraphy of the plague with “Sun Wen Memorial Park” in Chinese characters at the main entrance. The beautiful and powerful characters were written by the famous Taiwanese calligrapher and master of Lingnan School of painting, Professor Ou Haonian. The park was altered from the hillsides and was then constructed into the revolution memorial area and integrated tourist area. The revolution memorial area is based on the theme to commemorate Dr Sun Yat-sen. It features, for example, a bronze statue of Sun, fountain, bamboo garden, pine garden and rhododendron garden. For the integrated tourist area, there are Xiangshan, Feilai Stone, A Thread of Sky, Cave of Water Curtains, an observation pavilion, Yingyang Stone and more.
